On the night of March22 a glamorous event occurred full of fashion and beauty, and as importantly, a significant charity was honored. Celebrities and media gathered to launch a yearlong Love Tour hosted by Saint Vintage to benefit Stand Up To Cancer. The evening was the brainchild of Saint Vintage founder Paige Nichols in conjunction with her mission to fund cancer research. Her inspiring story as a survivor ignited a platform to combine her design talents and empathy for others affected by the disease. She has been able to blend the engaging world of jewelry design with the compassion of a philanthropic mission.
The red carpet event was held rooftop at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, with a nighttime vista of the lights of LA. Event planner Adam Saget (http://www.adamsaget.com/) created an elegant space of old Hollywood décor combined with a retro lounge feel from the Rat Pack days of Sinatra and Martin. Cozy vignettes of white leather sofas and acrylic chairs where lit with soft pink and white marque lighting. The room had two focal points. First, the silent action table took center stage topped with the beautiful Saint Vintage Love Lure necklace collection. Second, surrounded by soft white drapes, velvet ropes, and lit from within, was the Love Bar; a VIP station for guest to become interactive during the evening.
Mingling between delicious hors d’oeuvre and an open bar, guests were able to step up to the Love Bar and try their hand at creating a signature piece of jewelry; a Love Strand necklace for the charity. Each celebrity chose from colorful antique glass beads and vintage charms to design a piece that will be featured and available for purchase on the SV website with proceeds going to Stand Up To Cancer. Guests were also able to silently bid on one of a kind collector pieces of jewelry created in the standards and craftsmanship of Saint Vintage. All pieces are made from unique antique Czech glass beads and hand wired in vintage brass and antique closures. All proceeds from the auction were also donated to SU2C.
From beginning at the Red Carpet to the evenings end, with a gift bag featuring a pink Love Link bracelet designed by the host and SU2C’s ambassador Jaime King, guests were given the opportunity to be a part of a beautiful evening and contribute toward curing a disease that has touch probably all of us in some way.
