Located in a district of California, situated west-northwest of downtown Los Angeles, sits a little place whose name has the lure to conjure up more than a geographical location. It is fantasy, elegance, sophistication, gossip, scandal and beauty. It offers an escape from reality, its residents are glamorous, and you can live out your dreams vicariously.
The intrigue of its ever changing scene explodes in the mind of America. Through the decades we have had an eye on this little piece of western desert land. During the 1940s there was a rush of young hopefuls to this infamous address promising fame and fortune like that of Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. The 50s brought brooding teenagers influenced by a movie called “Rebel Without A Cause” with James Dean and Natalie Wood. Then the 1960’s rolled in with influences like Marilyn Monroe and the Rat Pack, bringing the night club scene and material things. Even today, this neighborhood’s mood continues to influence us, draw us in, and hold our attention.
We, at Saint Vintage, are also enamored by the nostalgia and glamour of vintage Hollywood. It has inspired us to have some fun with its images and style. Look for the Vintage Hollywood influence in some of the future campaigns we have put together for those who enjoy the Red Carpet. We have begun with a few fun photos of our favorite Starlets wearing our favorite jewelry. We hope you enjoy this sampling of photos and look for more on our Facebook page.
