I’d like to share some words of wisdom. Part of our mission with this blog is to provide stylish entertainment about fashion but also focus on healthy lifestyles and working toward a cancer free future. In today’s blog I aim to throw the two topics into a bowl and stir them up together.
It was an inspirational quote I saw that sparked this idea. The message was about stepping out of your routine, trying something new, and how that can keep you young and happier; and we all know that being happier is healthier. The fashion twist on this is asking yourself; “How style daring am I, when was the last time I tried new looks, does my closet hold any fun trendy items?” If trying new things is healthy then why not carry that advice into your wardrobe?
As a little push of motivation I have collected a few easy fashion trends that everyone should try once in their lifetime to get you started; a fashion bucket list if you will:
1. Stiletto Pumps- There’s nothing sexier than a woman who can walk tall and confident.
2. Nail Art- A low cost and high-impact styling trick. Try adding crystals or color blocking for spring.
3. Expensive Lingerie- Splurge on at least one pair that will make you feel like Victoria’s favorite secret.
4. Animal prints- A scarf, belt, slipper, or bag with stripes, spots, or scales of your favorite wild thing.
5. Statement necklace- instantaneous pop of style for a plain white tee or a little black dress.
… So, there you have some ideas to spark your fashion leap in the name of healthy living. Reason being that there are so many benefits of life long discovering and experimenting we should all give it at least a try. Scientists know that people who engage in a variety of experiences are more likely to retain positive emotions and minimize negative ones. Trying something new opens up the possibility for you to find more things you enjoy, keep you from becoming bored, and forces you to grow.
As I mentioned, it was a simple quote that inspired this post. Here are a few more; read and enjoy. Open your mind and your heart and give it a go…
