If you have been following us for a while now, you know how closely we followed Dorian Murray’s journey with cancer. We got to know his mother, Melissa Murray, very well during this time and now continue to follow her as she raises awareness for cancer and gives back to those in need!

It not only broke our hearts when Dorian passed away in March, but it also impacted everyone who know of him both nationally and internationally! Dorian had a wish to become famous before he passed away and, thanks to thousands of users on social media, his wish came true.

He may not physically be here with us anymore, but his memory will continue to inspire others for years to come, especially because Melissa is fighting to bring awareness to childhood cancer in his honor!

Melissa is currently working on creating the Dorian J Murray Foundation, which will raise funds for pediatric cancer research. Melissa’s organization has already begun collaborating with various companies on how they can raise money that they will then donate to research organizations across the United States!

We can’t imagine the heartbreak that a mother feels losing their child, but Melissa’s passion for using Dorian’s life as a motivation to bring a change to cancer is SO inspiring. She possesses a strength that not many individuals have, which is why we know that she will make a difference!

It is people like Dorian and Melissa that remind us why we chose to do what we do. That is why we chose Dorian as our 2016 Saint Vintage Love Cures Award recipient at this year’s Unite4: Humanity event! That was a special honor that we will never forget.

We can’t wait to continue supporting Melissa as she makes waves in fighting back against pediatric cancer! There is still not currently a website for the Dorian J Murray Foundation, but you can learn more here. If you don’t want to wait to make a donation, there is an address that you can send funds to listed in the article!

Connect with Melissa and stay up-to-date with all that is happening by following her on Facebook. And Melissa just created a Twitter account for her foundation, so you can follow all the special news and events!

We will be #DStrong forever! Please share this post with your loved ones so that we can spread awareness and support Melissa with her mission!
